Welcome

We are happy to announce that we will holding auditions for our Fall/Winter musical production of A Charlie Brown Christmas! Kids ages 8-15 who love to sing, act, and dance and have a flair for performing will have the incredible opportunity to learn from a dedicated team of professional instructors in this production class.  Children and youth are given instruction in the theatrical and performing arts in a structured group environment with access to performance opportunities.  A Charlie Brown Christmas will have a set rehearsal schedule and a live stage performance at the end of the session.

​The classic television special comes to life in this faithful adaptation where the Peanuts gang grapples with the real meaning of Christmas. In order to get him into the spirit of Christmas, Lucy convinces Charlie Brown to direct the school’s Christmas play. Little does he know he is about to guide his undisciplined and uncooperative friends, Lucy, Linus, Pig Pen, Sally, Schroeder, Snoopy and the bunch to an understanding of what the holiday is all about.

For this production, auditions are open to youth ages 8-15

Audition Date: Saturday, October 21, 2023 
Time: 12:30 pm -3:00 pm
Rehearsals Begin: Saturday, October 28, 2023

 Tropical Sands Church, 2726 Burns Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL  33410

What to Prepare:

• 1 minute comedic monologue (memorized)
• 1 minute of a song from musical theatre or a Holiday Song that shows off your range and personality! Please bring song accompaniment on a phone/mp3 player or other digital device. We will not have an accompanist. We will have a Blue Tooth speaker for you to connect to. 
• Auditionees  will also be taught a short dance/choreography combination.
• Please wear clothes comfortable for movement
• *Auditionees MUST wear close toed shoes that are are easy to move/dance in. 
  
• Please bring a headshot and resume to the audition. 

Cast Production Fee

$250 Cast Production Fee - This includes all classes/instruction and coaching/rehearsals and costume fee. *Normal cast production fee is $450, but is reduced for A Charlie Brown Christmas due to the shortened production/class schedule.

Rehearsal Schedule is typically:
Saturdays from 12:00pm-3:00PM

As we get closer to performance dates, we add:
Tuesday, from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm
Thursdays from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

**Rehearsals and Performances take place at Tropical Sands Church in Palm Beach Gardens, FL

December 15 and 16, 2023

** Required Family Hours:All cast families are required to contribute a minimum of 10-15 volunteer hours per actor towards the production.  

 Buy Out Option: A limited number of buy-out options will be available for this show. The buy-out option would excuse the family from their required 10-15  family hours towards the show.
